An exploitation release of the lowest order, this was issued in 1966 after Scott Engel had become famous as a member of the Walker Brothers. First of all, John Stewart, contrary to what the sleeve note tells you, was not the John Walker that sang with Scott in the Walker Brothers (that was John Maus). Second, most of these are generic early-'60s rock roll instrumentals; Scott Walker's biographers even question whether he is playing on all of these. The highlight is the title track, written and released by Stewart and Engel (as Scott was then known) on a 1963 single billed to the "Dalton Brothers." It foreshadows the Walker Brothers' densely produced pop/rock ballad approach, and (along with the similar "Without Your Love") is the only item of interest on this LP, which you should pick up only if you're a Scott Walker completist.
