Vital Idol es un álbum recopilatorio de sencillos remezclados de los dos primeros álbumes del cantante y músico británico de rock Billy Idol. Llegó al puesto número diez de la lista Billboard 200. Del álbum se extrajo el sencillo en directo de "Mony Mony".
El álbum, con una foto en la portada proveniente del vídeo de "Dancing with Myself" se lanzó en Europa en 1985. Después se expandió para incluir una versión de "To Be a Lover" y se reeditó en todo el mundo en 1987. En esta edición, la portada lleva una foto de una actuación en directo de "Mony Mony", usada para promocionar el álbum.

Vital Idol is a compilation by English rock vocalist Billy Idol. It contains remixed singles from his first three albums. Peaking at number 10 on the Billboard 200, the album was supported by a live single version of "Mony Mony".
The original release, sporting a photo from the "Dancing with Myself" video was originally released as an EP in Europe in 1985. The US release was expanded to feature the "Mother Of Mercy Mix" of "To Be a Lover" and reissued in 1987 with alternate cover art of a photo still from the live video for "Mony Mony" on CD. The 1987 issue was 24 bit digitally remastered and released globally in 2002.
