BOB DYLAN - BLOOD ON THE TRACKS - LP CBS 1975 - PRINTED IN USA - muy raro y buscadisimo

US-manufactured first issue release, but on CBS, instead of Columbia. This release has the same US matrix numbers as the first US issue. Sleeve is also similar to that of the US issue; matt outer sleeve with the back cover liner notes on black print. Comes with a matt, maroon inner sleeve of rather thick cardboard, with the catalogue number "69097" printed on white on the bottom corner. However, in this release all mentions and logos of "Columbia" have been replaced with "CBS".

Columbia mistake? US manufactred for Sweden? For Singapore?

This album was a mystery in that the country it was released is not identified. It has an American-style label, and both the sleeve and the record labels say it was manufactured in the USA (see "MFD. IN USA" at the bottom of the label on the left side). However, it has CBS logos in the ring round the circumference of the label and the UK catalogue number. The sleeve is not laminated. The rear sleeve has the same design as the first US release with the first David Oppenheim picture and black text.

Manuel García Jara has the definitive answer from his father's notebooks regarding a copy identical to this bought in Singapore in Apr 1975: "Before the edition of CBS-Sony for Malaysia and Singapore with blue sleeve, Blood On The Tracks was previously released in Malaysia in a maroon gatefold sleeve by CBS-Sony, but Singapore did not have its own edition; in this country copies manufactured in the USA were sold , although they have, for legal reasons, CBS labels and the European catalogue number." The Singapore PC 33235 Hup Hup copy with a maroon gatefold sleeve above contradicts this, so obviously both editions exist!

Como todos sabemos, los discos de Bob Dylan eran manufacturados en U.S.A. por Columbia, y en el resto del mundo por CBS. Bien, esta es una copia manufacturada en U.S.A. pero todos los logos de Columbia han sido reemplazados por los de CBS. Unos aseguran que es una edicion fabricada en los Estados Unidos para ser vendida en Suecia, otros para Singapur... Yo no lo sé, pero lo que si se es que es una verdadera rareza...
