Lemonheads - Love Chant - LP

Sello: Fire Records · The Lemonheads return with Love Chant, their first album of original material in nearly two decades. Written and recorded across years of personal upheaval and relocation, it's a melodic, clear-eyed reaffirmation of Evan Dando's singular voice in alternative rock. Now living in Brazil_where much of the album was recorded_Dando reconnects with long-time collaborators including J Mascis, Juliana Hatfield, and Tom Morgan, while enlisting new voices like Erin Rae and Adam Green of The Moldy Peaches. The record was produced by Brazilian multi-instrumentalist Apollo Nove and mixed by Bryce Goggin (Pavement, Antony and the Johnsons).Love Chant blends the ragged charm and tuneful melancholy that made the band's early work so beloved with the perspective of years gone by. As contemporary artists such as Courtney Barnett, Waxahatchee and MJ Lenderman continue to cite Dando's influence, this album feels less like a comeback and more like a quiet continuation of a legacy.
