The “4 Channel RM Sound” edition of Pink Floyd's The Dark Side of the Moon refers to a rare quadraphonic vinyl release from 1973, which was mainly released in Japan. This version used the RM (Regular Matrix) system, which is compatible with Sansui's QS matrix and enables four-channel surround sound.

These Japanese quadrophonic pressings are rare and can fetch high prices on the collectors' market.

Note on Credits:

Though not detailed in the liner notes, Barry St. John, Doris Troy, Lesley Duncan, and Liza Strike perform backing vocals only on tracks A4, B2, B4, and B5.
