The High Road es un EP en vivo de la banda de rock inglesa Roxy Music que contiene la grabación de una presentación en Glasgow, Escocia, en la gira del álbum Avalon de 1982.

El álbum Avalon salió en 1982 y fue el último disco en estudio del grupo. Se basó en texturas atmosféricas de sintetizadores. Produjo los sencillos "More than this" y la balada "Avalon". Un año después salió al mercado un EP en vivo titulado The High Road, que contenía la grabación de un concierto brindado en el Apollo de Glasgow, Escocia, el 30 de agosto de 1982 durante la gira soporte de Avalon. Luego de su lanzamiento, Bryan Ferry decidió disolver la banda, con la mayoría de sus miembros iniciando carreras como solistas.

Roxy Music se retiraron discretamente, dejando en la memoria un ejemplo de clase y estilo. Todavía aparecieron algunos discos más con el nombre de Roxy Music: este grabado en directo en 1983, titulado 'The hight road', un mini álbum con cuatro temas (entre ellos una curiosa versión de 'Like a hurricane', de Neil Young)

The High Road is a live EP by the English rock band Roxy Music. Recorded at the Apollo in Glasgow, Scotland on 30 August 1982 during the band's Avalon tour, it features four tracks. Two of the songs are covers, including Roxy Music's no.1 hit version of John Lennon's "Jealous Guy" and Neil Young's "Like A Hurricane". A Bryan Ferry solo effort was also included, originally released on his 1978 album The Bride Stripped Bare. The EP reached number 26 on the UK Album Charts.

Despite sharing the same title and cover art, there are no recordings on this album in common with the High Road videocassette/DVD, which was recorded in Frejus, France on 27 August 1982. So far, none of the recordings on this EP have been issued on CD. While the same songs were released on the full length live CD Heart Still Beating (1990) they were different performances from a different location than those from The High Road EP.
