SIMPLE MINDS - SONS AND FASCINATION - VINILO ORIGINAL PRIMERA EDICION VIRGIN 1981

En 1981, ya con la discográfica Virgin Records y con otro productor llamado Steve Hillage, grabarían discos con un toque cercano al Rock Progresivo como Sons And Fascination, con Love Song como gran éxito, y Sister Feelings Call que incluía The American, cuya caraterística fue que salieron en formato de combo, y que posteriormente fueron separados para su venta individual. Love Song fue durante muchos años sintonía del famoso programa deportivo radiofónico de José María García. El 20 y 21 de diciembre de 1981 Simple Minds tocaría en el desaparecido "Rockola" de Madrid. A principios de 1982 salió a la venta un recopilatorio con el título de Celebration, que sólo incluiría una canción nueva. En este disco se hacía un repaso a los primeros 3 álbumes de la banda. Sus discos iniciales reflejaban el gusto por la técnica electrónica. No eran álbumes fáciles, sino muy experimentales, llenos de ritmos duros y textos fríos pero expresados con apasionamiento.

Sons and Fascination/Sister Feelings Call is the current common title for the fourth album by the Scottish post-punk band Simple Minds. It was released in September 1981 and was their first to reach a wide international audience. It reached number eleven on the UK Albums Chart, number thirty-one on the Australian Kent Music Report chart, number 7 on the New Zealand RIANZ chart and number four the Swedish Sverigetopplistan chart.Since 1981 the album has been certified gold by the British Phonographic Industry. It includes the singles, "The American", " Love Song" and "Sweat in Bullet".

Sons and Fascination and Sister Feelings Call were two separate albums. They were assembled from the same sessions and released at the same time and, in some instances, sold as a double-LP set. The two releases are variously categorised as a double album, two single albums or a single album and an extended play. The current CD remaster contains all the tracks once split onto two LPs, with their respective track running orders preserved. The original 1986 CD reissue erase two songs from Sister Feelings Call, as the maximum running time of redbook CD releases at the time would not accommodate the entire set, and Virgin were unwilling to issue the material as a two-CD set.
