The Beatles - Let It Be

-is the Beatles' twelfth and final studio album, originally released in the United Kingdom on May 8, 1970.

It was recorded after recording previously released albums, but marked the end of the band due to internal conflicts. The album was produced by Phil Spector and contains some of the Beatles' best-known songs.

Recording for "Let It Be" began in January 1969 when the band decided to make a documentary about their studio work.

The sessions were recorded at Twickenham Film Studios and later at Apple Studios in London.

However, the recording sessions were marked by tensions within the group. The album was initially intended to have the working title "Get Back", but was eventually renamed "Let It Be".

The title track "Let It Be" became one of the Beatles' best-known songs. Other notable tracks include "The Long and Winding Road", "Get Back" and "Across the Universe". Phil Spector took over production of the album following Glyn Johns' original attempts, but this decision was controversial.

Spector added orchestral arrangements and overdubs to the album, which led to disagreements between the band members.

It won the Grammy Award for "Album of the Year" in 1971.

Interestingly, the album was considered by the Beatles themselves to be the conclusion of their career, although "Abbey Road" was actually the last album recorded by the band.

"Let It Be" remains an important part of the Beatles discography and a contemporary document of the end of one of the most influential bands in the history of popular music.
