The Korgis son una banda de pop británica conocida principalmente por su exitoso single Everybody’s got to learn sometime en 1980. La banda originalmente estaba compuesta por el cantante, guitarrista y teclista Andy Davis (nacido Andrew Davis Cresswell, 1949) y el cantante y bajista James Warren (Bristol, Inglaterra, 1951), ambos miembros anteriormente del grupo folk-rock de los 70 Stackridge (cuyo tercer álbum, Man in the bowler hat, producido en 1973 por George Martin, fue el único que entró en las listas británicas), junto con el violinista Stuart Gordon y el teclista Phil Harrison.

Después de un tercer álbum, Sticky George, con un estilo más dirigido a la música de los 60, y con el single principal That was my big mistake publicado bajo el nombre James Warren & The Korgis, marca el hecho de que el grupo más o menos ya se había convertido en un banda unipersonal. También se editó el single All the love in the world, con mediano éxito. Sticky George provocó tensiones con su sello Rialto, que les rescindió el contrato.

Una banda exquisita. Diferente en cuanto a su propuesta por lo simple, sin desmerecer. Sencillez, elegancia y calidad. Buenos temas que recuerdan viejos tiempos.

Sticky George is the third studio album by English pop band, The Korgis. It was released on Rialto Records in the UK in 1981.

The album includes the singles "That Was My Big Mistake", "All the Love in the World", "Don't Say That It's Over" and "Sticky George" - some released as The Korgis and others James Warren & The Korgis.

Sticky George was re-issued on CD by Edsel Records in 1999.

The album was followed by the non-album single "Don't Look Back" (produced by Trevor Horn)/"Xenophobia", released on London Records in June 1982. Both tracks are included on the 2003 compilation Don't Look Back - The Very Best of The Korgis.
