a British rapper known for his unique sound that blends dub, hip-hop and electronic music; “Yellow Submarine”, a Beatles song and animated film from 1968; and Banksy, the anonymous British street artist.

Banksy is perhaps the most famous figure in contemporary street art.

He is known for urban interventions that display irreverent wit and biting political acuity.

The artist has altered street signs, illegally printed his own currency and illegally hung his own works in the Louvre and the Museum of Modern Art.

He often uses spray paint and stencils in his critique of consumerism, political authority, terrorism and the status of art and its presentation. His street art, installations and studio-based works have been exhibited in Los Angeles, New York, London, Bethlehem and beyond.

His art has attracted considerable interest on the secondary market and has fetched eight-figure sums at auction.
