Dorothea Wieck gave a performance of rare spiritual beauty in "Cradle Song" (Paramount), her second American picture. This talented German artiste will be remembered for her sensitive portrayal of the young teacher in "Maedchen in Uniform."

Although German, Dorothea Wieck was born at Davos, Switzerland, and educated in Sweden. Max Reinhardt gave her her first chance on the stage. Her work in German films attracted Hollywood, her first American picture being "White Woman" with Herbert Marshall. Her latest is "Kidnapped."
