Sergei Timofeevich Aksakov (1791-1858) was a writer, poet, critic, and memoirist. He was the father of writers and public figures of the Slavophile movement: Konstantin, Ivan, and Vera Aksakov. The book includes literary and theatrical reminiscences, articles, and the essay Buran, which were highly valued by A.S. Pushkin and L.N. Tolstoy. Gennady, I, p. 15. This is a posthumous edition of the works of Russian writer and critic Sergei Timofeevich Aksakov. Sergei Timofeevich Aksakov (1791-1859) was a Russian writer, government official, and public figure, literary and theater critic, memoirist, and author of books on fishing and hunting. The book includes memoiristic essays, literary and theatrical reminiscences that the writer dedicated himself to in the 1850s (about M. Zagorsky, G. Derzhavin, M. Shchepkin, Prince Shakhovskoy, and others). It also includes an early essay, Buran, which was highly praised by A.S. Pushkin and later by L.N. Tolstoy.
