This work contains the dialogues held by Winnicott with a patient during several sessions. The case illustrates his great contribution to the psychoanalytical theory and technique, his capacity to support the patient in the session and to orientate him by means of sensitive interpretations, as well as to strengthen his sexual and ego-related functioning. Winnicottbs instinctive grasp of the value of silence and his sharp discernment to decide the interruption of the analysis are magnificently shown in this book.
