La Medalla Blucher fue creado el 13 de octubre 1965 por el Consejo de Estado de Alemania Oriental. La medalla debía ser otorgado por su valentía en combate para oficiales subalternos y personal de tropa The Blucher Medal was created on 13 October 1965 by the East German Council of State. The medal was to be awarded for bravery in combat for junior officer and enlisted personnel.
