Description

The 2010-11 programme starts of course at Jamboree, with this quartet lead by guitarist Roc Calvet, who present their last recording Six Tunes Below Zero (Quadrant). Deep and  finely worked tunes that navigate through bossa, blues, latin and mid-tempo styles with a joining of influences that range from Horace Silver’s happy upbeat pieces to the ethereal harmonies of Wayne Shorter. To the youth of Calvet, Mampel and González is added the experience of a true saxophone wizard: Xavier Figuerola.
