Tallada en piedra de granito negro sobre una pedana y recostada en la columna faraónica con escritura demótica.

Imhotep vivió alrededor del 2690–2610 a.C. y fue chati (visir) del faraón Zoser durante la III Dinastía. Es reconocido como el primer arquitecto conocido de la historia, responsable del diseño de la Pirámide Escalonada de Saqqara, considerada el primer gran monumento en piedra. Además, fue médico, astrónomo, poeta y sacerdote en Heliópolis. Su nombre significa “el que viene en paz”

Carved from black granite on a pedestal and reclining against a pharaonic column inscribed with Demotic script.

Imhotep lived around 2690–2610 BC and was vizier to Pharaoh Djoser during the Third Dynasty. He is recognized as the first known architect in history, responsible for the design of the Step Pyramid of Saqqara, considered the first great stone monument. He was also a physician, astronomer, poet, and priest in Heliopolis. His name means “the one who comes in peace”
