Exquisite small Victorian boned bodice jacket

Exquisite small Victorian boned bodice jacket in a heavy black Jacquard type material covered with beautiful sequins and beads forming motifs across the front and back, and beautiful silky braiding to the fitted hem. The jacket features an under bodice formed from a mulberry coloured smooth material reaching to a high necked panel in ivory silk covered with fine organza and tiny beads and sequins. Both the under bodice and outer bodice feature hook and eye closures. A velvet ribbon and bead flower forms a central focus to the front of the jacket. The sleeves are padded under the shoulders and feature a double layer running to a bell sleeve which is attached to a short fitted cuff decorated with the same silky braiding as the hem. The item is in remarkable condition for its age with no rips. The signs of wear are some holes in the organza which overlays the ivory silk panel, some slight staining on the under side of the silk collar and some sequins are loose.
