Lacks Volume II (seamanship, etc).

Very important book on the Rigging of Ships of the Eighteenth Century.

Volume I: Mast-making, Rope-making, Anchor-making, Sail-making, Block-making, and Rigging.

Faults: Frontis sheet, Dedicacy sheet and one plate of Foreign ships are Photocopies.

Collated complete regarding volume's content with the three mentioned faults.

Binding and Condition:

Antique quarter leather well used. Several signatures and one ex-libris at fore and end blank pages. Paper in Good general condition, both text and plates. In the first and last parts of the book there are some pages with minor moisture and foxing stains (see photos). In some folded plates of the mastmaking section there are some cracks in the folds with well made old repairs. 22,5 x 27,5 cms.

Falta Volumen II (arte marinero, etc).

Libro muy importante sobre el Aparejo de barcos del Siglo XVIII.

Volúmen I: Arboladura, Jarcia, Anclas, Velamen, Motonería y Aparejo.

Faltas: Hojas de Frontis, Dedicatoria y una lámina de Foreign ships son Fotocopias.

Revisado y completo en cuanto al contenido del volumen; con las tres faltas mencionadas.

Encuadernación y Estado:

Encuadernación en 1/4 de piel de época gastada y con título en el lomo. Firme con un refuerzo profesional en anverso de contraportada. Estado aceptable. 22,5 x 27,5 cms.

Firmas de anteriores propietarios en hoja de titulo y anverso de portada, en ésta también hay un ex-libris.

Buen estado en general del papel tanto de texto como de láminas. En las primeras y últimas páginas se notan en ambas manchas de humedad y acidez de poca importancia. Las láminas plegadas de arboladura tienen algunas fisuras en los pliegues por la forma en que fueron plegadas (ver fotos). Tienen ligeras reparaciones en anverso bien hechas hace tiempo.
