Descripción del Contenido:

- El Libro, redactado en Español, está concebido como Herramienta de trabajo y consulta, tanto para profesionales de la construcción como para cualquier otra persona interesada en el tema de la arquitectura y construcción. El contenido está muy bien estructurado y es de altísimo interés.

- Está impreso a partir del Año 1884, ya que aunque sin fechar, en la página 53 del Texto viene la fecha 15 de Febrero de 1884.

- El autor Juan Carpinell, maestro de obras, recopila y ordena toda una extensa información, con la colaboración de arquitectos y otros profesionales de la construcción.

- El libro contiene una primera parte de Texto, en la que se describen la Láminas de la segunda parte, así como un ejemplo de Memoria, Presupuestos y Ordenanzas.

- Los grabados de las Láminas de la segunda parte, litografías en su totalidad, muestran desde el despiece de la sillería de un arco hasta una vista del patio de los leones de la Alhambra de Granada, pasando por plantas y distribuciones de casas.

Descripción del Libro:

- Encuadernado cosido de buena ejecución, con cortes guillotinados.

- Texto en Impresión monocolor en negro, muy bien de tinta, con buena estampación, y en general bien centrado y con buenos márgenes.

- Litografías en su totalidad fuera de texto, impresas la mayoría a monocolor en negro y en una significativa parte de ellas en color a tres y cuatro tintas. La Ilustraciones, con buena estampación y bien centradas, en general tienen márgenes aceptables, aunque en algunos casos los consideramos márgenes escasos.

- El Texto sobre papel blanco ahuesado mate, de espesor medio y mala calidad.

- Las Ilustraciones sobre papel blanco ahuesado mate, con varios espesores entre medio y grueso, siendo en general de buena calidad.

- Cubiertas duras de plena tela editorial granate, y lomo de piel granate con cuatro nervios, de buena calidad.

- El Lomo tiene impreso en dorado “CARPINELL” “ARQUITECTURA PRÁCTICA”.

- Guardas de papel impreso con “pequeña filigrana” de color azul, de espesor fino y baja calidad. Las dos páginas interiores de las guardas están pegadas a otra hoja de recuperación, ocultando la antigua impresión, con el fin de ganar grueso y por tanto resistencia.

Detalle de la Conservación:

- El estado general del Libro es “REGULAR”.

- El libro ha sufrido humedad en su parte posterior.

- Las páginas del Texto están en regular estado, ya que el papel utilizado es de muy baja calidad y con el tiempo se ha vuelto muy quebradizo, rompiéndose con extrema facilidad. Tienen muchas manchas y punteados de óxido. Están muy oscurecidas. Tienen pequeñas roturas en sus bordes, algunas reparadas provisionalmente con cello transparente.

- Las Ilustraciones se encuentran en regular estado, dependiendo del papel utilizado, ya que no es el mismo en todas. El último grabado está muy deteriorado, el penúltimo grabado está deteriorado y el antepenúltimo grabado está ligeramente deteriorado, todo ello debido a la humedad sufrida. Las Láminas tienen pequeñas roturas en sus bordes, y en concreto la 64, 65, 90 y 98. Algunas de estas roturas se han reparado provisionalmente con cello transparente. La Lámina 83bis está mal cortada de origen.

- Las guardas están en mal estado, en particular la trasera, que ha sufrido directamente la existencia de humedad.

- La cubierta trasera está muy deteriorada, debido a la humedad. Las cubiertas se pueden recuperar bastante bien mediante un tintado adecuado.

- Los cortes están bien conservados y con poca suciedad. El corte superior está levemente más sucio.

Comentarios:

- Tanto las Medidas, como el Peso, son aproximados.

- A pesar de lo delicado de este libro, tanto por su calidad como por su conservación, es muy interesante poder disponer del mismo, ya que su contenido está muy bien estructurado y es de altísimo interés, tanto para profesionales o estudiantes del sector, como para realizar consultas más o menos especializadas.

- Libro ideal como pieza de estudio, consulta y entretenimiento.

- Debido a que es inevitable las diferencias de tonalidades entre fotos y realidad, se debe tener presente que los tonos de los colores de las fotos no son exactamente iguales a los tonos de los colores reales.

- El Libro presenta el desgaste propio de su tiempo, así como algunas manchas. Tiene pequeños desperfectos.

Description of the Content:

- The book, written in Spanish, is conceived as a work and consultation tool, both for construction professionals and for any other person interested in the subject of architecture and construction. The content is very well structured and of great interest.

- It is printed from 1884 onwards, since, although it is not dated, on page 53 of the text the date is 15 February 1884.

- The author Juan Carpinell, master builder, compiles and arranges all the extensive information, with the collaboration of architects and other construction professionals.

- The book contains a first part of the Text, in which the sheets of the second part are described, as well as an example of Memory, Budgets and Ordinances.

- The engravings of the Laminas of the second part, lithographs in their entirety, show from the quartering of the ashlar of an arch to a view of the patio of the lions of the Alhambra of Granada, passing by plants and distributions of houses.

- Lithographs in their totality outside text, printed mostly in black monochrome and in a significant part of them in three and four color inks. Illustrations, with good printing and well centered, in general have acceptable margins, although in some cases we consider them to be poor margins.

- The Text on white matte hollowed paper, of medium thickness and bad quality.

- The Illustrations on white matt hollowed paper, with several thicknesses between medium and thick, being in general of good quality.

- Hard covers of full maroon editorial fabric, and maroon leather spine with four nerves, of good quality.

- The spine is printed in gold "CARPINELL" "PRACTICAL ARCHITECTURE".

- Guards of paper printed with "small filigree" in blue, of fine thickness and low quality. The two inner pages of the guards are glued to another recovery sheet, hiding the old printing, in order to gain thickness and therefore resistance.

Conservation detail:

- The general status of the book is "REGULAR".

- The book has suffered moisture in its back.

- The pages of the text are in regular condition, since the paper used is of very low quality and with time it has become very brittle, breaking extremely easily. They have many stains and rust spots. They are very dark. They have small cracks on their edges, some of which have been provisionally repaired with transparent cello.

- The illustrations are in regular condition, depending on the paper used, since it is not the same in all of them. The last engraving is very deteriorated, the penultimate engraving is deteriorated and the antepenultimate engraving is slightly deteriorated, all due to the humidity suffered. The sheets have small breaks on their edges, specifically 64, 65, 90 and 98. Some of these breaks have been provisionally repaired with transparent cello. - This book is ideal as a study, consultation and entertainment piece.

- Because it is inevitable the differences of tones between photos and reality, it must be borne in mind that the tones of the colors of the photos are not exactly the same as the tones of the real colors.

- The book presents the wear and tear of its time, as well as some stains. It has some minor flaws.
