"In 2011, during a residency with other artists in the Espacio para la Memoria La Perla, artist Gabriela Halac invited, over several weeks, people to visit with her the facilities of what was in the 70's a torture and extermination clandestine center in the Province of Córdoba and record their memories in relation to their past. From those visits, Gabriela Halac created an imposing installation presented in Buenos Aires, in Mexico, and in Salta, ""as if was the secret of an entrance to the past and a vindication against that past: in response to the programmed death and destruction of La Perla, the vindication of the right to remember and think, to grow as a human being in solidarity, memory and the will to prevent the return of crime.""
