An authentic Japanese bronze cash coin from the Edo period (Tokugawa era), featuring the inscription 「寛永通寳」 (Kan’ei Tsūhō) on the obverse and the mint/variant mark 「文」 (Bun) on the reverse.
This type belongs to a regional issue produced during the Kan’ei era (beginning around 1626) and remained in circulation well into the 19th century.
