Descripción:

- Reloj de sol europeo, con un diseño sencillo y muy elegante, que tiene su cuadrante o limbo sobre una base cuadrada, preparado para situarlo en una peana de obra a la intemperie.

- En la base están talladas minuciosamente los distintos datos y líneas necesarias para la lectura de la sombra del Gnomon. Los números horarios son romanos. Está grabada la estrella polar con los puntos cardinales, así como las correspondientes líneas horarias.

- En el ángulo superior derecho de la base, tiene grabado a mano alzada, y mediante un punzón, “WR”.

- El Gnomon es un perfil de 0,5cm.x0,8cm., formando una V con otro perfil de 0,5cm.x0,9cm, siendo éste último el que se fija a la base del reloj de 0,15 cm. de grueso, mediante dos bulones rectangulares remachados. Estos dos perfiles están unidos por una sencilla filigrana formada por dos perfiles curvos de tamaños variables. Todas estas características proporcionan al reloj suficiente robustez y resistencia a su posible deterioro.

- La base tiene cuatro perforaciones, una en cada esquina, a fin de poder fijar el reloj a la base de obra, de manera fuerte y sólida, mediante los correspondientes tornillos.

- Para ajustar el reloj a su situación geográfica, se fijará sobre una base inclinada con los grados que correspondan a la latitud de la localidad en que se encuentre, y todo ello en función de la inclinación del Gnomon.

- No se ha localizado ningún distintivo, marca o contraste, que pueda facilitar datos del sitio en que se fabricó, datos del fabricante, así como otros datos.

Conservación y desperfectos:

- El reloj está completo y muy bien conservado.

- La base tiene algunas zonas más oscurecidas, producto probablemente de la influencia de elementos extraños.

- Mantiene una espectacular pátina de época.

- Tiene pequeños golpes y roces debido al tiempo.

- El objeto presenta el desgaste propio de su tiempo.

Description:

- European sundial, with a simple and very elegant design, which has its dial or limbo on a square base, ready to be placed on a base in the open air.

- The base is carefully carved with the various data and lines necessary for reading the shadow of the Gnomon. The hour numerals are Roman numerals. The pole star is engraved with the cardinal points and the corresponding hour lines.

- In the upper right-hand corner of the base, ‘WR’ is engraved freehand with a stylus.

- The Gnomon is a 0.5 cm x 0.8 cm profile, forming a V with another 0.5 cm x 0.9 cm profile, the latter of which is attached to the 0.15 cm thick base of the clock by means of two rectangular riveted bolts. These two profiles are joined by a simple watermark formed by two curved profiles of varying sizes. All these features make the clock sufficiently robust and resistant to possible damage.

- The base has four holes, one in each corner, in order to be able to fix the clock to the base, in a strong and solid way, by means of the corresponding screws.

- In order to adjust the clock to its geographical location, it will be fixed to a base inclined by the degrees corresponding to the latitude of the locality in which it is located, all in accordance with the inclination of the Gnomon.

- No distinctive mark or contrast has been found that could provide information on the place where it was made, the manufacturer's details, or any other information.

Condition and damage:

- The clock is complete and very well preserved.

- The base has some darker areas, probably due to the influence of foreign elements.

- It retains a spectacular period patina.

- There are minor bumps and scuffs due to age.

- The object shows wear and tear typical of it’s age.
