Preciosa, decorativa y exclusiva alfombra persa antigua, realizada en el siglo XIX con un proceso artesanal que hoy en día ya no existe. Se trata de una pieza muy valorada en la actualidad. Está hecha a mano con materiales naturales y duraderos, se emplea lana sobre algodón. La forma en que está anudada y la diversidad en sus motivos estilísticos, con lacerías florales y vegetales, y variadas formas geométricas hacen de esta pieza una verdadera obra de arte. Tiene, como es habitual, un medallón central y una rica cenefa enmarcando el campo floral.

Las decoraciones de la alfombra de Feraghan -región iraní- están muy influenciadas por el motivo hérati, presente en el medallón central. El borde, por su parte, se compone de una serie de bandas estrechas cargadas también de infinitos adornos. Estas alfombras son muy sobrias y eran muy apreciadas en las mansiones inglesas de la época victoriana.

A beautiful, decorative and exclusive antique Persian rug, made in the 19th century using a handcrafted process that no longer exists today. It is a highly valued piece today. It is handmade with natural and durable materials, using wool on cotton. The way it is knotted and the diversity of its stylistic motifs, with floral and vegetal lacework, and various geometric shapes make this piece a true work of art. It has, as usual, a central medallion and a rich border framing the floral field.

The decorations on the Feraghan rug – an Iranian region – are highly influenced by the Hérati motif, present in the central medallion. The border, for its part, is made up of a series of narrow bands also loaded with infinite ornaments. These rugs are very sober and were highly appreciated in the English mansions of the Victorian era.
