Descripción:

- Preciosa campana de colgar, hecha de bronce excepto la bola del badajo, que es de hierro. El enganche también es de hierro.

- Este tipo de campanas se utilizaban para diversos fines, el uso más común era la de avisar de la presencia de ciertos animales, para lo cual se colgaba del collar del animal, pero en este caso quizás es demasiado grande para ese fin, por lo que, podría darse su uso para anunciar eventos importantes, como parte de rituales religiosos o civiles.

- El hombro, parte superior de la campana, tiene dos anillos. El medio pie, lugar donde golpea el badajo, tiene anillos decorativos rebajados, reforzados. En general, la campana tiene un gran tamaño y grosor.

- El enganche, la anilla y la bola tienen óxido. Realizados con una gran maestría, y de una calidad excelente.

- La campana está usada, ya que el interior del medio pie tiene una gran huella marcada por el badajo.

- La anilla/asa es muy sencilla, con un diseño elegante.

- Después de analizar detenidamente la campana, hemos llegado a la conclusión que probablemente esté fundida en dos piezas.

- Es bastante raro encontrar una campana, de este tamaño y tan completa.

- Tiene las iniciales C.G. grabadas en la zona delantera.

Conservación y desperfectos:

Description:

- Beautiful hanging bell, made of bronze except for the clapper ball, which is made of iron. The hook is also made of iron.
