Descripción:

- Tetera de peltre, estilo Art Decó.

- Preciosa tetera estilo Art Decó. Está hecha de alpaca y cincelada a mano.

- En la parte superior de la tapadera tiene una pieza de hueso ovalada que sirve como aislante y como tirador para levantar la tapadera sin quemarse.

- En el asa, hay dos aretes de porcelana, uno en la parte superior y otro en la inferior, y están puestos para que el calor de la tetera no se traspase al asa.

- Tiene un diseño elegante, con clara influencia del Art Decó, por lo que la situamos entre finales del S.XIX y principios del S. XX.

- Tiene un trabajo de cincelado minucioso sin llegar a ser ostentoso.

- En la base tiene dos sellos, y dos numeraciones: “EP=BM BHA – 9278 – 4”.

- Después de realizar la investigación oportuna, sabemos que las letras EPBM significan: metal de Britania, ésta en concreto de Sheffield. EPBM = Electroplated Britannia Metal.

- Se le denomina “Metal de Britania” a un tipo especifico de aleación de peltre, popular por su aspecto plateado y superficie lisa. Es dúctil y de laminación, fusión y moldeo fáciles. Esta aleación se usa para la fabricación de los premios Óscar.

Description:

- Pewter teapot, Art Deco style.

- Beautiful Art Deco style teapot. It is made of nickel silver and hand chiselled.

- On the top of the lid there is an oval bone piece that serves as an insulator and as a handle to lift the lid without burning yourself.

- On the handle, there are two porcelain earrings, one at the top and one at the bottom, and they are placed so that the heat from the teapot does not transfer to the handle.

- It has an elegant design, with a clear Art Deco influence, so we place it between the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century.

- It is meticulously chiselled without being ostentatious.
