Descripción:

- Medalla con forma de Área de intersección de dos círculos, troquelada en aluminio. El estilo es un Neogótico tardío. Probablemente finales de la Primera Mitad del S. XX.

- Anverso: Virgen de pie sobre una bola del Mundo, con los brazos cruzados en el pecho, coronada y orlada, sobre un fondo salpicado del Símbolo de la Congregación Mariana.

- Este Símbolo procede del Crismón, con las letras superpuestas X (Chi) (K)y P (rho) (r), que son las dos primeras letras en griego de la palabra Xpiotóc (Christos) (El Ungido). De los dos brazos superiores de la X, cuelgan dos barras, transformando la X en una M de María.

- En el perímetro tiene Inscrito el Lema “CONGREGATIO MARIANA”. “AVE GRATIA PLENA DOMINUS TECUM”. (Congregación Mariana. Ave llena de gracia)

- Reverso: En la base tiene dos Santos orlados, uno con un Cáliz en las manos, señal de la Sangre de Cristo, y otro con un Niño Jesús en las manos, señal del Nacimiento de la Infancia de Cristo. Entre ambos hay un ramo de flores del que surge un tercer Santo orlado, manteniendo un Crucifijo en las manos, señal del sacrificio de Jesús por el Mundo.

- Bordeando el tercio superior, tiene inscrito el Lema: “ADJUTOR ET PROTECTOR FACTUS EST MIHI”. (Eres mi ayudante y protector). (MIHI)

- En el tercio inferior, tiene inscrito el Lema: “COR UNUM ET ANIMA UNA”. (Un Corazón y una Alma”.

- En el ángulo inferior, tiene inscrito el Símbolo de María “A M”, la letra A enlazada con la letra M. Su significado es Ave María.

- A la derecha del ángulo inferior, está la Inscripción “AUSIÓ”, correspondiente al autor de los altorrelieves.

- Esta Medalla, es escasísima. Hay otras medallas, más comunes, de la misma Congregación Mariana, de diseño parecido, pero no igual.

- Una Congregación Mariana es una agrupación de fieles católicos, estando la mayoría de las Congregaciones vinculadas a la Compañía de Jesús.

Conservación y desperfectos:

- La Medalla se encuentra en muy buen estado de conservación, presentando un alto desgaste tanto en el anverso como en el reverso.

- Se le ha colocado una anilla dorada, posteriormente.

- Presenta el desgaste propio de su tiempo.

Comentarios:

- Tanto las Medidas, como el Peso, son aproximados.

- Muy interesante como pieza de colección y como elemento decorativo.

- Los tonos de los colores de las fotos no son iguales a los tonos de los colores reales.

Description:

- Medal in the shape of an Area of intersection of two circles, die-cut in aluminium. The style is late Neo-Gothic. Probably end of the first half of the 20th century.

- Obverse: Virgin standing on a ball of the World, with her arms crossed on her chest, crowned and bordered, on a background dotted with the Symbol of the Marian Congregation.

- This Symbol is derived from the Chrismon, with the superimposed letters X (Chi) (K) and P (rho) (r), which are the first two letters in Greek of the word Xpiotóc (Christos) (The Anointed). Two bars hang from the two upper arms of the X, transforming the X into an M for Mary.

- The motto "CONGREGATIO MARIANA" is inscribed on the perimeter. "AVE GRATIA PLENA DOMINUS TECUM". (Marian Congregation. Ave full of grace).

- Reverse: On the base there are two ornamented Saints, one with a Chalice in his hands, sign of the Blood of Christ, and the other with an Infant Jesus in his hands, sign of the Birth of the Infancy of Christ. Between the two is a bouquet of flowers from which emerges a third ornamented Saint, holding a Crucifix in his hands, a sign of the sacrifice of Jesus for the World.

- Bordering the upper third, the motto is inscribed: "ADJUTOR ET PROTECTOR FACTUS EST MIHI". (You are my helper and protector). (MIHI)

- In the lower third, the Motto is inscribed: "COR UNUM ET ANIMA UNA". (One Heart and One Soul).

- In the lower corner is inscribed the Symbol of Mary "A M", the letter A linked with the letter M. Its meaning is Ave Maria.

- To the right of the lower corner is the inscription "AUSIÓ", corresponding to the author of the high reliefs.

- This medal is very rare. There are other medals, more common, of the same Marian Congregation, with a similar design, but not the same.

- A Marian Congregation is a group of Catholic faithful, most of the Congregations being linked to the Society of Jesus.

Conservation and damage:

- The Medal is in a very good state of preservation, showing a high level of wear on both the obverse and the reverse.

- A gold-plated ring has been added later.

- It shows wear typical of it's age.

Comments:

- Both the Measurements and the Weight are approximate.

- Very interesting as a collector's item and as a decorative element.

- The tones of the colours in the photos are not the same as the tones of the real colours.
