Descripción:

- Medalla troquelada en Aluminio, con Asa Plana y sin anilla. Probablemente de la Segunda Mitad del S. XX.

- El altorrelieve de la Medalla tiene una buena calidad.

- Anverso: Divina Pastora de Cantillana, sentada con un gorro y un bastón, junto a una oveja. El perímetro está rodeado por un arco de azucenas, y en la parte inferior tiene la leyenda “Divina pastora de Cantillana”.

- Reverso: Cáliz con la Sagrada Forma, y el Logotipo o Monograma con las siglas JHS, con una pequeña cruz en su parte superior, y unos rayos solares con centro en el propio Símbolo. El perímetro tiene una orla de espigas y racimos de uvas, cercados por un cordón. En la parte inferior tiene la leyenda “Redil Eucarístico de la Divina Pastora”.

- El monograma JHS fue utilizado por San Ignacio de Loyola, fundador de la Compañía de Jesús, por lo que se convirtió en su símbolo. La teoría más aceptada es que corresponden a las tres primeras letras, en griego y en mayúsculas, del nombre “Jesús”. Otra de las teorías es que corresponderían a las iniciales de la frase en latín “Iesus Hominum Salvator”, que traducido sería “Jesús salvador de los hombres”.

- Canto: Liso sin ninguna inscripción. 

- No hemos encontrado ningún Contraste o Distintivo en la Medalla, que nos facilite los datos de la identidad de sus autores.

 

Conservación y desperfectos:

- La Medalla se encuentra en muy buen estado de conservación con un mínimo de desgaste.

- En los bordes del Canto presenta irregularidades y muy pequeños golpes.

- Presenta el desgaste propio de su tiempo.

 

Comentarios:

- Tanto las Medidas, como el Peso, son aproximados.

- Muy interesante como pieza de colección y elemento decorativo.

- Debido a que es inevitable las diferencias de tonalidades entre fotos y realidad, se debe tener presente que los tonos de los colores de las fotos no son exactamente iguales a los tonos de los colores reales.

- La Medalla en venta es el que se corresponde con las fotos, que a su vez se complementan en esta Descripción, con el objetivo de proporcionar un mejor conocimiento del Objeto, y nunca ser una exposición detallada del mismo.

                   Width: 4,3 cm.

                   Thickness: 0,4 cm.

Weight: 11 gr.

 

Description:

- Die-cut aluminium medal, with flat handle and without ring. Probably from the second half of the 20th century.

- The high relief of the medal is of good quality.

- Obverse side: Divine Shepherdess of Cantillana, sitting with a cap and staff, next to a sheep. The perimeter is surrounded by an arch of lilies, and at the bottom it has the legend "Divina pastor de Cantillana".

- Back: Chalice with the Sacred Form, and the Logo or Monogram with the initials JHS, with a small cross on the upper part, and some solar rays with the centre in the Symbol itself. The perimeter has a border of spikes and bunches of grapes, surrounded by a cord. At the bottom it has the legend "Eucharistic Fold of the Divine Shepherdess".

- The JHS monogram was used by St. Ignatius of Loyola, founder of the Society of Jesus, so it became his symbol. The most accepted theory is that it corresponds to the first three letters, in Greek and in capital letters, of the name "Jesus". Another theory is that they would correspond to the initials of the Latin phrase "Iesus Hominum Salvator", which translated would be "Jesus saviour of men".

- Song: Plain without any inscription. 

- We have not found any Contrast or Distinctive in the Medal, which gives us the details of the identity of its authors.

 

Conservation and damage:

- The Medal is in a very good state of conservation with a minimum of wear.

- On the edges of the edge it presents irregularities and very small blows.

- It presents the typical wear of its time.

 

Comments:

- Both the measurements and the weight are approximate.

- Very interesting as a collector's item and a decorative element.

- Because it is inevitable the differences of tonalities between photos and reality, it should be kept in mind that the tones of the colours in the photos are not exactly the same as the tones of the real colours.

- The Medal on sale is the one that corresponds to the photos, which in turn are complemented in this Description, with the objective of providing a better knowledge of the Object, and never being a detailed exhibition of it.
