Pala de servir, grabado “Pescador”, silver plate, ff. circa 1900 - Francia

Magnífica y elegante pala de servir en silver plate, datada hacia 1900. Presenta un mango acanalado y bulboso que sostiene la hoja de la pala, con un diseño curvilíneo, orgánico y ondulado que recuerda las líneas fluidas y naturales del estilo Art Nouveau, muy popular a finales del siglo XIX y principios del XX. La transición entre la hoja y el mango está decorada con una concha o venera. En la hoja se encuentra un delicado grabado a mano que representa un pescador a la orilla de un río, con su captura colgando de la caña y rodeado de una exuberante vegetación.

Magnificent and elegant silver plate serving shovel, dating to around 1900. It features a fluted and bulbous handle that holds the blade of the shovel, with a curvilinear, organic and wavy design that recalls the fluid and natural lines of the Art Nouveau style, very popular in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The transition between the blade and the handle is decorated with a shell or scallop. On the blade there is a delicate hand engraving depicting a fisherman on the bank of a river, with his catch hanging from the rod and surrounded by lush vegetation.
