Descripción:

- Pareja de Copas estilo imperio, sobrio y de líneas puras, probablemente fabricadas en Francia, de Porcelana vidriada en azul cobalto que muy bien podría ser de Sevres, y con remates de bronce dorado.

- Situamos a las Copas en la Segunda Mitad del S.XIX. El estilo imperio se desarrolló entre finales del S.XVIII y principios del S.XIX.

- Cada Copa se compone de Cuatro Partes: Pie, Cuello, Vaso y Asas. Las Tres primeras Partes están unidas entre sí por un eje central de varilla roscada. Las dos Asas están sujetas a la Copa mediante dos pequeños bulones en su parte superior, y un eje roscado en su parte inferior.

- El Pie tiene una base cuadrada, de bronce dorado y patinado brillante. Está apoyado sobre cuatro patas de bronce dorado mate con forma de garra de felino. Tiene en su parte superior, un anillo de bronce dorado mate con formas de hojas.

- El Cuello tiene en su parte inferior una pieza de porcelana, y en su parte superior una pieza de bronce.

- El Vaso es de Porcelana vidriada en azul cobalto, y tiene interiormente una cubierta de bronce dorado, con un botón al que se enrosca el eje central de la Copa. En su perímetro externo superior, tiene una franja de bronce, sobre la que hay cuatro apliques con una cara femenina central rodeada de roleos florales con filigranas.

- Las Asas verticales tienen en la base de su arranque inferior la cara de un Fauno.

- Las Copas están realizadas con muchísimo esmero y cuidando hasta el más pequeño detalle. El bronce está minuciosamente trabajado y cincelado. Tienen una fantástica pátina.

- No se han localizado ningún tipo de Marca, Inscripción o Distintivo, que pudiesen orientarnos sobre los autores o fabricantes de tan espectaculares Piezas.

Conservación y desperfectos:

- Las Copas se conservan en muy buen estado de conservación.

- La primera Copa tiene el Vaso con cierta inclinación con respecto al eje de la Copa.

- La segunda Copa tiene aflojada la tuerca del eje central, de forma que las diferentes partes de la Copa se mueven libremente, sin llegar estar sueltas. Una de las Asas tiene flojo el eje roscado de su parte inferior.

- Las Copas presentan el desgaste propio de su tiempo.

Procedencia:

- La primera Copa procede de su compra en un anticuario. La compra se realizó alrededor del Año 1970. La Copa ha pasado de padres a una de las hijas, y de esta a sus sobrinas en el Año 2018. Posteriormente fue aportada a una Sociedad propiedad de las hermanas, por lo que durante los últimos 50 años se ha mantenido en manos de la misma familia.

- La segunda Copa procede de su compra en Durán Sala de Arte, S.L., con CIF:B-28303022, situada en la calle Goya Nº19 de 28001 Madrid. La compra se realizó en el Año 2018.

- Las copas se han mantenido en manos de la misma familia desde su compra.

Description:

- Pair of imperial style goblets, sober and with pure lines, probably made in France, of cobalt blue glazed porcelain that could very well be from Sevres, and with gilt bronze finials.

- The goblets date from the second half of the 19th century. The Empire style developed between the end of the 18th and the beginning of the 19th century.

- Each goblet is made up of four parts: foot, neck, goblet and handles. The first three parts are joined together by a central threaded rod shaft. The two Handles are attached to the Cup by two small bolts at the top and a threaded shaft at the bottom.

- The foot has a square base, made of gilt bronze with a shiny patina. It is supported on four matte gilt-bronze legs in the shape of a feline's claw. The upper part of the foot has a matte gilt-bronze ring in the shape of leaves.

- The neck has a porcelain piece at the bottom and a bronze piece at the top.

- The Cup is made of porcelain glazed in cobalt blue, and has a gilded bronze cover on the inside, with a button to which the central axis of the Cup is screwed. On its upper outer perimeter is a bronze band, above which are four appliqués with a central female face surrounded by floral scrolls with filigree motifs.

- The vertical handles have the face of a faun at the base of the lower part.

- The cups are made with great care and attention to the smallest detail. The bronze is meticulously worked and chiselled. They have a fantastic patina.

- No markings, inscriptions or distinguishing marks have been found that could indicate the authors or manufacturers of such spectacular pieces.

Conservation and damage:

- The cups are in a very good state of preservation.

- The first goblet has a cup with a certain inclination with respect to the axis of the goblet.

- The second cup has the nut of the central axis loosened, so that the different parts of the cup move freely, without becoming loose. One of the handles has a loose threaded shaft at the bottom.

- The Cups show wear typical of their age.

Provenance:

- The first Cup comes from its purchase in an antique shop. The purchase was made around 1970. The Cup has passed from parents to one of the daughters, and from her to her nieces in 2018. Subsequently it was contributed to a Society owned by the sisters, so that for the last 50 years it has remained in the hands of the same family.

- The second Cup comes from its purchase in Durán Sala de Arte, S.L., with CIF: B-28303022, located in calle Goya Nº19, 28001 Madrid. The purchase was made in 2018.

- The glasses have remained in the hands of the same family since their purchase.
