Exquisita pareja de sillas realizada durante el primer cuarto del siglo XX siguiendo el clásico estilo francés Luis XV. Madera tallada y pintada en dorado con efecto envejecido. Asiento y respaldo tapizados en un raso verde oliva apagado pero satinado gracias al efecto de la tela. Respaldo en capitoné. El estilo original data del siglo XVIII y se caracteriza por formas curvas, en contraste con los estilos más rígidos que lo precedieron. En esta silla, se observa una adaptación moderna, en la que se mantiene el carácter elegante, pero con una interpretación más sobria, presente en el respaldo ligeramente ovalado y las patas curvas.

El Estilo Luis XV es un estilo artístico, especialmente presente en las artes decorativas, que se desarrolló durante el reinado de Luis XV (1715-1774). Inicialmente la denominación «Estilo Luis XV» se refería a un tipo característico de sillas, pero enseguida se extendió a todas las artes de la época. Este estilo fue creación de los ebanistas como resultado de un avance técnico mayor en la fabricación de muebles de madera. Se identifica con el estilo arquitectónico denominado Rococó. Al igual que el Rococó, cuenta con una profusa decoración y detallismo, en contraste con el posterior «Estilo Luis XVI», de tendencia más sencilla.

Seat and back upholstered in a dull olive green satin, which is satiny thanks to the effect of the fabric. Tufted backrest. The original style dates back to the 18th century and is characterised by curved shapes, in contrast to the more rigid styles that preceded it. In this chair, a modern adaptation can be seen, in which the elegant character is maintained, but with a more sober interpretation, present in the slightly oval backrest and curved legs.

The Louis XV Style is an artistic style, especially present in the decorative arts, which developed during the reign of Louis XV (1715-1774). Initially the name "Louis XV Style" referred to a characteristic type of chair, but it soon spread to all the arts of the time.
