Exquisito pequeño bureau à pente realizado en la Francia de la época Napoleón III, mediados del siglo XIX. Presenta extraordinaria marquetería de buena factura; se emplean diferentes maderas para los ornamentos, tanto poligonales como florales de gran delicadeza. Esto se consigue gracias a la combinación de chapas de diferente tono (palo de rosa, palo de violeta y palisandro). Este ligero escritorio se levanta sobre cuatro patas galveadas, las dos delanteras con sablots. En su frente de perfil mixtilíneo presenta un registro con dos tiradores y una la bandeja abatible de escritura, el propio bureau, con piel gofrada granate. Este discreto frente abatible de servicio alberga en su interior dos pequeños cajones y más compartimentos. Todas las guarniciones, incluidos los tiradores, son de bronce dorado y después cincelado.
